This policy explains which data is processed when you visit Monitor Ambient Light, why, and what choices you have. It describes only what the site actually does.

Monitor Ambient Light (monitor-ambient-light.com) is operated by Skydimo. The controller responsible for the processing described in this policy is Shenzhen Light Universe Technology Co., Ltd. (“Skydimo”, “we”, “us”).
Contact for privacy questions and requests: support@skydimo.com or privacy@skydimo.com.
The site has no user accounts, contact forms, newsletter, comments or payments, so we do not ask you to enter personal data.
We do not run ads and we do not sell personal data.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which delivers the pages through its global network. To deliver the site and protect it against abuse and attacks, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical request data such as your IP address, the requested URL, date and time, referrer and browser user agent.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / UK GDPR). We do not export or separately store Cloudflare logs; Cloudflare processes request logs in accordance with its own policies.
We also have Cloudflare Workers Logs enabled for troubleshooting. These logs can contain request metadata and are retained by Cloudflare for up to 7 days depending on the plan (3 days on the Workers Free plan, 7 days on the Workers Paid plan).
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-ZFQT2ZTGWC), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, to understand in aggregate how visitors use the site, for example which pages are read and how visitors arrive.
We use analytics only. We do not run ads, and the advertising-related consent signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization) are always set to “denied” for every visitor, so data from this site is not used by Google for advertising or ad personalization.
When analytics cookies are allowed, Google Analytics may collect: pages viewed and their titles, the referring page, date and time, approximate location (country, region or city derived from your IP address), device type, browser, operating system, screen size, language, interactions such as scrolling and clicks on outbound links, and a random identifier stored in the _ga cookies. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
We use Google Consent Mode v2 in “advanced” mode. Until you accept analytics cookies (and after you reject them), no analytics cookies are set; Google may still receive cookieless pings containing the consent state, the page, a timestamp and browser information, but without the _ga identifier.
Data retention: Google Analytics data retention for this site is set to 14 months.
Legal basis: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / UK GDPR). Outside these regions, analytics cookies are enabled by default; you can switch them off at any time via “Cookie settings”.
Google may process data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (including the UK Extension and the Swiss-U.S. framework) and also relies on standard contractual clauses.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see a banner with two equally prominent buttons, “Accept all” and “Reject all”. Analytics cookies stay off until you choose “Accept all”.
To decide whether to show the banner, your browser asks our server (/api/geo) for your country. The country code is derived by Cloudflare from your IP address and only returned to your browser; our code does not store or log it. If this lookup fails, the banner checks your browser’s time zone setting locally instead.
Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key skydimo-consent (your choice and a timestamp) for 365 days; after that you are asked again. It is not a cookie and it is not sent to us.
This site uses the following cookies and browser storage entries:
The language and display preferences are needed to provide the features you use and do not require consent; the Google Analytics cookies are used only as described above.
The site links to skydimo.com (sponsored links to Skydimo’s own website) and to other third-party websites. When you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that website applies.
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU or EEA country where you live, with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), or with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
To exercise your rights, contact support@skydimo.com or privacy@skydimo.com. We respond within one month. Analytics data is pseudonymous, so to locate it we may need the identifier stored in your _ga cookie.
Open “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page and choose “Reject all”. This keeps analytics cookies off and deletes the existing _ga cookies for this site. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time, or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
We will update this page when the way the site processes data changes. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
